From scrap to surfwear

How a Glassd patch is made

Most surf apparel is inspired by surfing. Glassd is built with it.

  1. 1

    Saved from the waste bin

We collect leftover fiberglass from surfboard shapers before it is thrown away.

  2. 2

    Hand-glassed in small batches

Each piece is layered with resin and finished by hand using the same basic glassing process used on a surfboard.

  3. 3

    Sewn into what you wear

The finished patch is secured to the garment so every piece carries real surfboard material into everyday life.
